I wish he’d done Final Crisis from the beginning so we didn’t have to suffer all the J.G. Jones related delays. I love how detailed Jones can get with his art, but he simply can’t do an ongoing series (or hell, a 7 issue series).

As for Reis and Johns new work, I have new freaking idea. I have a feeling it’ll be an ongoing Flash series, much like how Johns worked with Sciver on GL: Rebirth and then teamed with Reis for the GL series proper.

I AM excited for Doug Mahnke to come on board full time. I’ll miss Reis like crazy but Doug is a solid replacement. It’ll fit nicely with Gleason on Corps. Reis DID mention he’ll be with Geoff on a new series though. With Francis Manapul on Adventure Comics, Gary Frank on Supes Secret Origin and Van Sciver on Rebirth I can only guess what series they’ll be on. A new on-going Flash maybe after Rebirth? Aquaman? What do you think?

That’s pretty interesting.

All I can say about Philip Tan’s art is that he did a pretty good job. I didn’t really even notice it was a different artist until I saw Reis’ name wasn’t on the cover.

I just didn’t know how to get people to read it. Anyways…I’m an idiot and read your reviews for New Krypton and BFTC realizing I hadn’t read them yet. Ugh. I DID read GL though, I can’t wait to read them the second I get them.

You know for a second there I felt like you didn’t know the Indigo Tribe was coming. Did you? Johns has stated in interviews that they’ll be a neutral corps that helps every side it can. That’s what Compassion is which is the Indigo Tribe’s emotion. You should (and probably) know this! Yeah the Controller’s getting raped was badass. It almost looked like the actual Corps were contained within the Battery which is VERY intriguing. Almost like Larfleeze holds all the power to himself as the Avarice Lantern should.

I thought Tan’s art was gonna be epic but I can’t get around his stupid human faces. Everything WAS epic but anytime I see a human face it reminds me of the horrid shit X-Factor has been through with
Larry Stroman, ugh. But again, JUST the human faces. I think I enjoyed his Final Crisis Revelations work a bit more but maybe the next issues will impress me more.
